Our final night in Porto and we are treated with a fantastic sunset view from Igreja da Serra do Pilar. Loved this city's architecture, vibe and port wine.
Praca de Carlos Alberto
Enjoy a sunset over Porto's local downtown life around the quaint Carlos Alberto Square. Just steps from Porto’s more touristy area, this Square provided significant historical value and great little restaurants and cafes to sit back and enjoy the culture.
Castle of Guimarães
It’s said the first king of Portugal was born inside these walls, and even before, the castle of Guimarães has stood for over a thousand years, proofing the test of time. How easily history would be re-written if these walls didn’t stand.
Such a serene place to visit, luckily with some water. On google earth, it’s completely dry. A good unexpected hike, that’s trail head is just past Nossa Senhora da Peneda Sanctuary. Certainly an uphill hike, with stone foot bridges and huge rocks setting your path. Ending in this magnificent view.
