Driving through the Serra da Estrela mountains, on our way to Loriga for dinner and this sunset was just magnificant, I decided to pull the car over and take a proper photo.
Sunset Over Gren Roof
Nestled in Serra da Estrela Natural Park, this cork and moss green roof bungalow is a gem of a place to visit. Fresh produce grown onsite and some fur animals to keep us company. This bungalow sets the stage for some really lovely sunsets daily.
We were herded by this dog as we came across the pasture in Serra Da Estrela, the highest mountains in Portugal. We met the goatherder, had some conversation and gave him some cigarettes. This left a #memorable impression of the old world and how fortune we were to experience this dying craft first-hand.
Lookg at the start of Serra de Estrella mountains of Portugal. The pink sky is lite from the sunseting behind me in this photo. I love it when the colour of the sky changes not where the sunsets, but to the east.
This Old Stone House
Exploring some areas along the road to Manteigas, I came across this gem of a natural park. Past this old stone house, the park’s glacial depression has created a peaceful place.
An old picturesque place, perfect for swim. This parish is around 1000 year BC, build on schist stone the bridges cross where Ribeira do Piódão and Chãs D'ígua meet. A gem of spot to visit, hidden away in Serra do Açor,
